Does the music I use in my business need licenses?+
A license authorizes specific ways of using protected music in a business. The applicable permissions depend on the music played, how it is played, the type of establishment and the scope of the operation.
If I choose Fundamentals, do I need to make additional payments?+
Rights for the catalog included with Fundamentals are managed for commercial use. No separate public-performance payments are made for that music while it is played through the contracted solution under its terms. Any external music falls outside this scope.
If I choose Signature Music, do I need to manage licenses in Mexico?+
Yes. Because it includes commercial music by recognized artists, the applicable licenses for that catalog and each establishment must be managed. Mind & Sense can handle the process.
Is it necessary to pay SACM, ANDI and SOMEXFON in every case?+
This is not determined automatically. We first review the type of music, the rights involved and how it will be used to identify the applicable organizations and licenses.
Does one license cover all my locations?+
The scope depends on each organization’s terms and the operation of each establishment. That is why we review the number and type of locations before preparing the process.
Can I use Spotify, Apple Music or YouTube in my business?+
Personal accounts on these platforms are intended for private use and do not replace the authorizations required to play music commercially in an establishment.

How much does license management cost?+
The amount depends on the type of business, number of locations, music used and current rates of the relevant organizations. After reviewing your operation, we prepare a clear proposal that includes the preferential discount available through Mind & Sense.

Timing may vary according to the organizations involved, number of establishments and available information. Before beginning, we explain the stages and estimated timing for your case.
